The primary function of the Service Technician role is to repair, rebuild, and support Duro Dyne machinery and related products while providing technical assistance to customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide phone support to shops by assisting with troubleshooting and repairs of Duro Dyne machinery.
Provide phone support to HVAC technicians for troubleshooting, wiring, and repair of Duro Zone products.
Repair and rebuild Duro Dyne machinery received from customers or Duro Dyne sales representatives.
Perform local service calls at customer facilities to diagnose and repair Duro Dyne equipment.
Assemble parts, subassemblies, and machinery for the Rebuild Program.
Participate in STAR trips with Duro Dyne Sales representatives (must be able to travel throughout the U.S.).
Maintain adequate inventory within the Technical Service parts room, including conducting monthly inspections, submitting requisitions, assembling parts, and restocking replacement components.
Pull, pack, and transport machinery replacement parts for customer orders to the shipping department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
This is an onsite position based at our facility. While the role is primarily performed on-site, it requires regular travel to customer locations and the ability to support service needs throughout the United States.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Proficiency in using basic hand tools, multimeters, and vernier calipers.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic understanding of electronics.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and machinery prints.
Comfortable working hands-on with both hand and power tools.
Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally.
Demonstrated patience, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability when addressing customer needs and technical issues.
Valid driver’s license required. Must be able and willing to travel throughout the U.S. as needed.
Education
Technical or vocational training preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in an electrical and/or mechanical environment.
Physical Requirements – Essential
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability and willingness to travel as required.
Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $22.00-$25.00/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
