AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation.  We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times.

What Drives Success

A Material Handler II for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location is responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials, products, and goods within our production facility. They are also responsible for the building of packages and crates, and they play a key role in supporting production and ensuring timely and accurate distribution of materials for production. 

 

This will be a 3rd shift position with the following hours: Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of stock levels. 
    • Prepare shipments for delivery and ensure proper documentation. 
    • Assist with organizing and maintaining storage areas for efficient material handling. 
    • Report any damaged or defective items and coordinate with appropriate personnel. 
    • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding material needs, shortages, changes, or issues. 
    • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues. 
    • Cross train and help in other areas depending on workload

 

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability to stand for extended periods. 
    • Able to train and assist with training others.  
    • Can read and use a tape measure. 
    • Able to use hand and power tools, including wood cutting saws. 
    • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player. 
    • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects. 
    • Has an attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. 
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:   

    • Previous manufacturing or construction experience. 
    • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified. 
    • Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. 
    • Knowledge of how workflow operates in a production facility. 
    • Knowledge of wood design and pallet design principles. 

What We Offer

Compensation:

This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay for this role is $19.50/hour with a shift differential of $1.50. Factors that may affect the full pay range for employees in this role and market include geography/market and the individual’s tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law)
