What Drives Success

Position Summary

The Sr Manager of Human Resources for the Orangeburg, SC Manufacturing Plant serves as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing expert guidance on all aspects of Human Resources with a strong focus on employee relations, talent management, and strategic talent acquisition.  This role partners closely with leadership to design and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute human resource strategies that support short- and long-term business objectives.

  • Assess future workforce needs and recommend innovative talent strategies to ensure organizational readiness.

  • Lead workforce planning efforts, including medium- and long-range forecasting.

  • Provide budget oversight and policy recommendations aligned with organizational goals.

Employee Relations

  • Advise managers on a range of employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.

  • Drive initiatives that promote a positive employee relations climate and strengthen workplace culture.

  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality, business-focused HR support.

  • Set clear performance expectations and ensure effective implementation of HR programs within established budgets.

Talent & Organizational Support

  • Provide tactical HR support across staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations.

  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, compensation administration, EEO, and benefits activities to ensure a seamless employee experience.

  • Counsel employees and managers on the interpretation and application of HR programs and policies.

  • Prepare and deliver internal communications related to HR policies and initiatives.

Data & Decision Support

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to provide actionable recommendations to business unit leaders.

  • Use metrics and insights to improve workforce effectiveness and organizational performance.

This position will need to be located at the Orangeburg, SC manufacturing plant.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources and a minimum of 8 years of relevant HR and management experience, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience with a related Master's Degree (OD, HR, LR, etc.).
  • Demonstrated exceptional leadership, trusted advisor, and internal consulting capabilities.
  • Experience delivering HR partnership and thought leadership in global organizations.
  • Outstanding cultural awareness skill set with a global strategic insight.
  • Ability to manage HR programs in a complex and matrixed business environment.
  • Preferred experience leading the HR function in a Manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to apply quantitative analysis to HR programs. 
  • Strong business acumen and people acumen, with the ability to influence business leaders at an executive level.
  • Broad knowledge of human resource functions, including strategic HR leadership, HR management, workforce planning, talent development, staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of governmental regulations, HR practices,  and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven ability to manage a wide-range of employee relations issues with sound judgment and discretion.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation skills. 
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing and guiding HR teams.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

 

 

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $129,600-$170,100 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

 

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

 

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
