The Manager of Inventory Control is responsible for overseeing the organization’s inventory management processes to ensure accurate inventory levels and the availability of materials and finished goods to support operational needs. This role leads daily inventory monitoring, develops and implements inventory control procedures, and manages cycle count activities to maintain inventory accuracy. The Manager will also lead and develop the inventory team while collaborating cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and vendors to resolve inventory issues and improve processes.
Ensure adequate inventory levels of materials and finished products in alignment with inventory cycles and organizational inventory philosophy.
Conduct daily inventory analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve inventory discrepancies or operational issues.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
Coordinate and manage daily physical cycle count activities to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely verification and documentation of all inventory adjustments and transactions.
Lead, train, and manage the inventory control team, providing guidance on processes, procedures, and performance expectations.
Monitor inventory performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, purchasing, and finance to ensure alignment and inventory accuracy.
Manage vendor inventory accounts when applicable, ensuring proper reconciliation and communication with suppliers.
Support audits and ensure compliance with company inventory standards and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of related inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain experience.
Proven ability to analyze inventory data and develop effective inventory control procedures.
Strong knowledge of inventory management processes, cycle counting, and reconciliation practices.
Experience maintaining accurate and efficient inventory records and transaction verification.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and direct the work of a team.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with inventory systems, ERP platforms, and data analysis tools is preferred.
Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $84,800 - $111,300 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
