What Drives Success

We are seeking a Security Specialist to provide direction to our 3rd party security agency and implement security best practices. This role will also be expected to assist in onsite security support as needed, specifically during high volume times including shift start, employee breaks, and shift transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with our 3rd party security agency to ensure that they are staffing the onsite team appropriately. Provide them with feedback on security staff performance and coaching opportunities.
  • Help to design and implement security best practices in partnership with Plant Leadership, Safety, and HR teams.
  • Provide onsite security support as needed.
  • Inspect onsite fire extinguishers.
  • Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports of safety incidents to Plant Leadership, Safety, and HR teams.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Facilities, IT, and leadership on workplace safety, employee investigations, and threat management.
  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning, including drills and response protocols.
  • Monitor compliance with company security policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on security best practices and emerging risks.
  • Provide guidance, training, and awareness programs for employees and managers related to security and safety.
  • Participate in audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in law enforcement or onsite security preferred.

 

Familiarity with security technology (CCTV, access control, alarm systems). Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capable of responding quickly to emergencies.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $50,400-66,150 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
