PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

Accounting Analyst I will play a key role in assisting with financial analysis, reporting, general accounting tasks, and managing the payroll process.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounting Analyst Responsibilities:
    • General Ledger Maintenance:
      • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records in our general ledger system.
      • Perform data entry and ensure the integrity of financial data.
    • Financial Reporting:
      • Support the preparation of routine financial reports and statements.
      • Compile financial data for analysis and reporting purposes.
    • Reconciliation:
      • Reconcile accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
      • Address discrepancies and resolve issues as needed.
    • Invoice Processing:
      • Review and process invoices, vouchers, and fiscal documents for payment.
      • Verify coding and authorization to ensure timely payments.
    • Financial Data Analysis:
    • Assist in analyzing financial data to provide insights for decision-making.
    • Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes.
  • Payroll Responsibilities:
    • Payroll Processing:
      • Review and process employee hours in our payroll system, including timecard sign off, pay code verification, and addressing discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Payroll Compliance:
      • Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees.
    •  Reporting:
      • Prepare and distribute weekly relevant payroll reports.
      • Generate and maintain records related to payroll transactions.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
    • Assist with system updates and enhancements within the Kronos system.

What We Are Looking For

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and theories of financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers and journals and of computer technology related to accounting systems.
  • Familiarity with accounting ledgers, journals, and basic accounting concepts.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other basic office software.
  • Proficiency in Kronos, SAP HR, and SAP P00 is a plus.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a willingness to learn and grow in the field of accounting.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $53,000-$70,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
