Position Summary

 

The Investigator, Corporate Security & Global Investigations is responsible for conducting investigations involving theft, fraud, cargo theft, inventory loss, workplace violence concerns, workplace misconduct, and other incidents impacting Lennox associates, assets, operations, or reputation. This role supports the protection of people, property, and product through timely, objective, and professional investigations while ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and investigative standards.

 

Reporting to the Corporate Security Manager, this role partners closely with HR, Legal, and EHSS, to determine root causes and make recommendations for corrective measures. The Investigator serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, supporting enterprise efforts to reduce loss, strengthen compliance, and maintain a safe and secure workplace. This role conducts investigations across manufacturing, distribution, corporate, and field operations environments while supporting broader Corporate Security initiatives as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Corporate Investigations

  • Conduct investigations involving theft, fraud, workplace misconduct, inventory loss, cargo theft, conflicts of interest, policy violations, and other crimes against the business
  • Conduct investigative interviews and collect documentary, digital, and physical evidence
  • Gather, preserve, and manage evidence in accordance with company standards and legal requirements
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports that clearly document facts, findings, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Present investigative findings to leadership, HR, Legal, and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Maintain investigative case files and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance gaps

 

Supply Chain & Cargo Theft Investigations

  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis to identify potential threats and weaknesses
  • Investigate cargo theft, inventory discrepancies, diversion schemes, transportation-related losses, and supply chain fraud
  • Investigate and respond to security breaches and implement corrective measures
  • Partner with Logistics, Transportation, Operations, and third-party carriers to identify loss trends and vulnerabilities
  • Support recovery efforts and coordinate with law enforcement, insurance carriers, and industry partners when appropriate
  • Analyze loss data to identify organized theft activity, emerging threats, and opportunities for loss reduction
  • Assist in developing and implementing countermeasures to reduce cargo theft and operational losses

Workplace Violence & Threat Management

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards
  • Support workplace violence prevention and threat management programs through investigative support and case management
  • Assist in evaluating reports of threatening behavior, harassment, intimidation, and workplace safety concerns
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and leadership teams to implement mitigation strategies and response plans
  • Support critical incident response activities involving workplace violence, threats, or other security-related events

Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with HR, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain, and EHSS.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on investigative matters, workplace concerns, and security-related risks
  • Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies when appropriate
  • Partner with external stakeholders to support investigations, recovery efforts, and risk mitigation initiatives
  • Communicate findings, trends, and recommendations professionally and effectively to stakeholders at all levels

Leadership / Influence

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build effective partnerships across functions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills in dynamic situations

Travel

  • Ability to travel up to 50 % to support investigations, site assessments, and business requirements

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Security Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent investigative experience

Experience

  • 8 years of experience in corporate investigations, asset protection, law enforcement, military, intelligence, compliance, or related fields
  • Experience conducting investigations involving theft, fraud, workplace misconduct, inventory loss, cargo theft, or operational losses
  • Experience conducting investigative interviews, collecting evidence, and preparing investigative reports
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to leadership and business partners
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, supply chain, or industrial environments preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Wicklander-Zulawski interview and interrogation training
  • Prior law enforcement, military, intelligence, or corporate investigations experience
  • Experience supporting workplace violence prevention and threat management programs
  • Experience conducting investigations involving cargo theft, inventory loss, organized theft activity, or supply chain fraud
  • Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environments

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $90,000 - $118,650 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
