What Drives Success

The Traffic Clerk II is responsible for coordinating shipments and transportation documentation to support the efficient movement of goods. This role manages the end-to-end shipment process, ensures compliance with transportation requirements, maintains shipping records and metrics, and works with carriers and internal stakeholders to resolve transportation-related issues. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments from origin to final destination 
  • Manage the end-to-end transportation process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.  
  • Gather shipment information and troubleshoot transportation and logistics issues as they arise.  
  • Provide guidance and support in resolving complex shipping and transportation challenges.  
  • Prepare, review, and maintain transportation documentation, including customs and shipping records.  
  • Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and company policies.  
  • Track and maintain transportation metrics, reports, logs, and distribution records.  
  • Schedule cargo to meet customer delivery requirements and timelines.  
  • Plan and optimize load configurations to maximize transportation efficiency and compliance with load requirements.  
  • Communicate with carriers, customs agencies, and internal departments to support shipment execution.  
  • Maintain accurate records within transportation and data management systems. 

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, supply chain, or a related field.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data entry applications. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of transportation systems, including AS400.  
  • Experience with max-load or load-planning transportation systems.  
  • SAP experience.  
  • Familiarity with customs documentation and transportation regulations 

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).  The starting salary range for this role and market is between $39,000 - $51,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

 

Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.
