What Drives Success

The Operations Research Analyst is responsible for applying advanced analytical, mathematical, statistical, and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems and improve operational performance. This role partners with cross-functional teams to analyze data, evaluate scenarios, develop predictive models, and provide actionable recommendations that drive efficiency, cost savings, service improvements, and strategic decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Analytics & Modeling

  • Develop and maintain statistical, optimization, simulation, and forecasting models to support business decisions.
  • Analyze operational, supply chain, financial, and business data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to evaluate strategic alternatives.
  • Design mathematical models for inventory optimization, network design, production planning, capacity planning, and resource allocation.

Business Performance Improvement

  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven solutions to improve productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Quantify the financial impact of proposed initiatives and operational changes.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts through analytical insights and performance measurement.
  • Monitor key business metrics and develop recommendations to enhance operational performance.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, cleanse, validate, and analyze data from multiple enterprise systems.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Translate complex analytical results into clear business recommendations.
  • Present findings and strategic insights to management and cross-functional teams.

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Commercial teams to define business problems and analytical requirements.
  • Support strategic projects involving network optimization, cost reduction, demand planning, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in implementation and validation of analytical solutions.
  • Provide analytical expertise for business transformation initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Education

  • Master's degree in Operations Research, or related discipline.

Required Experience

  • 5 years of experience in operations research, analytics, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or business optimization.
  • Experience applying quantitative methods to solve business problems.
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of optimization techniques, linear programming, simulation, forecasting, and statistical analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, or other analytical programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with supply chain optimization and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP.
  • Experience with optimization mathematics and tools such as Gurobi, CPLEX, SAS, or AnyLogic.

Work Environment

  • Full-time office environment with collaboration across multiple business functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support operational sites and project initiatives.

A successful Operations Research Analyst combines strong quantitative and technical capabilities with business acumen. They are curious, detail-oriented, and able to transform complex data into practical recommendations that improve operational and financial outcomes.



What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $91,000 - $119,700 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
