Heatcraft Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their six market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, Magna Industrial and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.

The Strategic Sourcing Project Manager is responsible for leading sourcing strategy and execution for new Data Center Solutions product introductions. This role serves as the bridge between Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure components and suppliers are identified, qualified, onboarded, shipped, received, and ready to support prototype, pilot, and production builds.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring both strategic leadership and tactical execution. The successful candidate will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, drive project timelines, resolve supply chain risks, and personally be responsible for fully executing the activities necessary to ensure successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for critical components, commodities, and technologies supporting Data Center Solutions products.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers to support growth, capacity, cost, quality, and risk mitigation objectives.
• Lead RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, contract development, and long-term supplier relationship management.
• Create and maintain sourcing roadmaps aligned with business growth and product launch requirements.
• Identify and execute cost reduction, value engineering, and supply continuity initiatives.

Project Management & New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Own sourcing project plans for all prototype, pilot, validation, and production build phases.
• Build and manage detailed Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and sourcing readiness plans for new product launches.
• Track project milestones, supplier deliverables, qualification activities, tooling readiness, and capacity commitments.
• Lead cross-functional launch readiness reviews and drive closure of supply chain action items.
• Escalate and resolve supplier, material, capacity, quality, and schedule risks affecting launch timing.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as the primary supply chain representative on new product development teams.
• Align Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Receiving, and Procurement around a common sourcing and launch strategy.
• Provide sourcing leadership during design reviews, supplier selection activities, and product commercialization efforts.
• Communicate project status, risks, mitigation plans, key performance indicators, and supplier readiness to leadership teams and customers as required.

Execution & Operational Support

• Personally drive supplier onboarding, qualification, documentation, and material readiness activities.
• Support supplier visits, audits, business reviews, and technical discussions onsite and remotely.
• Validate BOM accuracy, sourcing assignments, pricing, part master data, and supplier records within SAP.
• Ensure sourcing, pricing, lead time, and supplier information remain accurate throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support issue resolution during prototype, pilot, and early production builds to help ensure uninterrupted supply.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Program Management, or New Product Introduction.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through production launch.
• Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, RFQ processes, contract negotiation, supplier development, and cost management.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies for engineered products, electrical components, mechanical components, or capital equipment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Data Center, HVAC/R, Power Distribution, Electrical Infrastructure, Thermal Management, or related industries.
• Experience launching new products in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of SAP, supplier quality processes, PPAP, PFEP, phase in and phase out process, and product commercialization activities.
• Familiarity with global sourcing and low-cost country supplier development.

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $101,000 - $132,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
